"You must go at once. Leave the ship while you still can!"

Tonight is a double feature! Haha!

So I was chilling in my room looking over my blog, changing a few things up, adding some music :), when I realized that I have yet to review a horror movie!

So I went over to my bookcase which stores my horror movies and looked through my collection and after of 15 minutes of deliberating landing on the movie Ghost Ship!
Now this movie has somewhat sentimental meaning to me! This was the first horror movie to enter into my movie collection back in 2002 and it is one of my best friend's and I favorite movie!

So, the story. Ghost Ship is about a group of boat salvagers who are confronted by a man who gives them the location of a possible ghost ship out in the waters worth millions. So with the man they set course for the possible ship only to stumble upon a British luxury liner with a horrifying history... and a couple of permanent visitors.

The story really starts to unfold when the group find cases upon cases of sold gold only to have their boat blow up and kill 2 of their crew when they try to take the gold and leave the ship.

But the creepiest thing of all is when Epps, the only woman in the crew sees a little girl aboard. After looking all over the ship
to try and find her again to talk to her Epps is led through a strange journey that showed the bloody past of the ship.

A demon who walks in the form of man roams around luring people to the ship so that he can take their soul to fill his quota. Once his quota is filled the souls of everyone who died on the ship will be trapped forever, and all he needs is a few more souls before his quota is filled.
This movie is so good! It's so full of mystery, horror, and a good ghost story! Unlike other horror movies today this movie doesn't rely on cheap tricks like nudity, foul language, sex, drugs, and bloody gore-filled death scenes to make it good!

My favorite character of this film was the
little girl Katie. With her perfect dress and proper statue you could never really tell if she was real or dead. You also feel a certain compassion for her, especially when shown how she was killed. Her bond with Epps and her courage to help the others on the boat just made you love her!

This film is good for those who are scared of horror movies because its the story that grabs you here not stupid horror movie tricks that usually scare everyone to death. Plus its good for old ER fans because the main character Epps is played by Julianna Marguiles, who played nurse Carol Hathaway on ER in the earlier seasons :) !

That's it for now. Until later, I'm just Simply Bitsie!

"All Jane Austen, all the time. It's the perfect antidote." - "To what?" - "To life!"

Tonight's DVD review is...

The Jane Austen Book Club
The Story is about a group of women-and one man, who get together once a month for a book club where all they read are
Jane Austen novels while trying to deal with the struggles of their lives. Each person is responsible for hosting the meeting at their
house on the night of their designated book. 6 books, 6 people, 6 months of love, loss, pain, and passion.

One of the best aspects of the movie is the fact that they threw a man into the loop and the effect that he has on the other women. Jocelyn originally had it in her mind that Grigg would be a good match for Sylvia who was just left by her husband of 25 years for another woman, then when Grigg starts to show minor interest in Sylvia she starts to get jealous and you can clearly see that Jocelyn has grown to love Grigg herself.

One of my favorite characters has to be Prudie played by Emily Blunt who grew to fame as the snobby british bitch of an
assistant in The Devil Wears Prada. I think thats why I loved her so much in this film, she was just so different then what we know of her. Her character is so fragile and passionate and just plain quirky.

The movie as a whole is simply fantastic. It exudes the power of friendship, love, sisterhood, and Jane Austen. I totally recommend this to those who love a good story and a happy ending!
This just a nice movie to watch if its a slow Sunday afternoon snuggled on your couch.

Until later, I'm just Simply Bitsie!

"How are you gonna swallow all those?"- "Have we met?"

Ok so with all of the hype going on I went and saw the new Sex and the City movie.

And my review? Eh! It was ok...
The movie itself as a whole was pretty funny and was good for those who watched and loved the series but the plot... was rather boring and slow.

It took a while to get into the movie, the whole wedding in the beginning was unnecessary but pretty. The cameo by Liza Minelli was funny but kinda sad because, sorry Liza, you can hardly understand a word that she is saying! It was like a weird mumbling version of single ladies.

Plus the whole lead up to Abudabe just took too long. They never even get there until 45 minutes into the movie! But I did love the fact that when Carrie was freaking out about the tv in the bedroom (which by the way was sooooooo stupid!) that the tv show that was playing was Deadliest Catch on the Discovery channel! haha that's one of my guilty pleasures!
Some of the things that I did like was the character developments for both Charlotte and Samantha- well there was development with Charlotte and Samantha was simply going back to her routs unlike her character in the first movie who was Samantha but not quite.

We got to see Charlotte actually dealing with the struggles of motherhood and marriage! I loved when she went into the pantry and cried, she was just so fragile and broken that it helped you see the real Charlotte!

Now Samantha is my favorite character! She is just sooo funny!! In this movie she goes back to being the slutty-whore bag that we love! But its even funnier because we get to see Samantha dealing with the trials of her age-menopause!

Basically if you didn't watch the show and you didn't think the first movie was all that great, do not go see this film. But if you were a fan of the series and the first film this movie will be right up your alley!

Well, thats all for now.

Until later, I'm just Simply Bitise!

What if you had a second chance to find true love?

Hello everyone!
It's been a while since I've posted so here I am, back with another movie review!

This week I actually made it to the local theater and saw such a cute movie with my best friend!

Letters To Juliet!!
It was a Saturday afternoon, I had just returned from my half-sisters mother's funeral and was in a really weird funk. I had a date scheduled for later that night but couldn't get my mind settled on that fact so my best friend, who I haven't seen since mid-march because she was away in Boston for college came and got me and took me to see really adorable romantic comedy with one of my more recent favorite actress Amanda Seyfried!

So having cancelled my date, my best friend and I had plenty of time to talk and make up for the time lost from her college adventures. But once we entered the theater we left our boring/sad/mediocre lives in Delaware and entered the exciting/romantic/beautiful life in Verona, Italy(which I have been lucky enough to visit during my spring break in my junior year of high school on a school trip)!

The Story!

New York Times fact-checker Sophie goes on a pre-honeymoon with her fiance Victor to romantic Verona Italy, the setting to William Shakespeare's most famous story Romeo and Juliet!
When her fiance goes off getting things prepared for his restaurant that is to open in six weeks back in New York, Sophie goes a explores the romantic city only to stumble across a letter addressed to Juliet that is 50 years old! After writing the now 65 year old Claire she embarks on a journey to find the woman's true love along with her grandson Charlie!

My Review: The story is rather predictable and will probably bore all men to tears because this film was clearly made for the woman's heart! And boy does it hit to the core! Not only is the story about Claire's long lost love for Lorenzo but also about Sophie and her struggling feelings towards both her fiance and Charlie.

The relationship between Sophie and Claire is also another strong point of the story. Claire reaches out to Sophie who was raised by her father after her mother left when she was only 9 years old and you can see how much Sophie grows to care for Claire and vice-versa! The dialogue is really funny at times and quite touching at others.
The this film is perfect for ladies who love a good romantic comedy!

I will give this movie a A- ! I'm such a girlie girl! :)

Now my recommendation on movie rental this week: Dear John!

Again, another Amanda Seyfried movie and romantic movie, but alas not a comedy! Haha! Dear John comes out on DVD tomorrow and believe me when I say I will be making a stop on the way home from work tomorrow to pick it up!

Check it out!

Until later!
